Fairtrade Tea Party ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ Thursday 23 April (1pmÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“3pm, Sustainability Hub)

Join us for a special Fairtrade celebration as we mark the submission of our 2024ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“2026 Fairtrade University Award.
Taking place in the Sustainability Hub, this event will include:
  • Free Fairtrade Clipper Tea
  • A bake-off competition using Fairtrade ingredients (with prizes to be won)
  • Talks from ethical suppliers, including (Fairtrade cotton uniforms) and .
This is a great opportunity to learn more about ethical sourcing and sustainability on campus.

St GeorgeÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s Day ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ Thursday 23 April

Celebrate St GeorgeÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s Day with a range of English-inspired dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. At the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, 75% of our food and drink is sourced from the South West, supporting local producers.
Highlights include:

  • Full English breakfast with free-range eggs and locally sourced sausages and bacon from Devon and Cornwall farms
  • Handmade bakes, cakes, and treats from The Container
  • Catch of the day from DrakeÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s Kitchen ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ” locally landed fish served with chips and mushy peas (£6.00 for students)
  • Yorkshire pudding wraps, a British classic with a modern twist from DrakeÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s Kitchen 

Stop Food Waste Day ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ Wednesday 29 April

Join us in tackling food waste on campus. Have you tried the app? You can save surplus food from campus outlets at up to two-thirds off the original price - helping reduce waste while saving money. ItÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s a simple way to make a positive environmental impact.
