Oliver Libeak

ñޜI chose ñ as I had a keen interest in the subject and friends and colleagues who attended the same course recommended it to me. My first journey to ñ was quite hectic as I was carrying all my stuff from Norway.

I stayed at the , where I spent five days walking around the city and exploring the campus.

By chance, the hotelñޙs bartender was a student at the University, and he helped me get settled

Fortunately, there are other students from Norway at the ñ, so I had no problem making friends. The teachers and staff were also accommodating when I first started my studies.ñޝ

Friends for life

ñޜI found it easy to meet new people as the majority of students in my class are international. Try to be open and forthcoming with people when you first meet them as the first impression makes a big difference. ñ has something for everyone, whether it would be partying, sports, art or simply making friends and contacts. In addition, it is close to the sea which is great for anyone who loves sailing.ñޝ&Բ;

Fun

ñޜñ is quite different from Norway, but the weather is similar, except for the winter season. ñ is a student city, so the nightlife is active, fun and sprawling with students.

A typical weekend usually involves hanging out with friends, having a couple of pints on The Hoe and then out to a nightclub such as Fever, or . On Sundays, going for a walk or playing football on The Hoe is a good way to recuperate.ñޝ

Food

ñޜIf you want to treat yourself or someone else, I would recommend .

Itñޙs a Michelin-starred restaurant located on a quiet corner site in the city centre behind .

If you want something sweet, cheap, fast and delicious take a trip to which has great paninis, cakes, and sweets.ñޝ

ñޜThe most exciting thing weñޙve done so far has been the fieldtrips to Brittany Ferries, where we got a full inspection of the vessel and got to eat delicious food.ñޝ

Time to explore

ñޜMy favourite thing to do is go for a bike ride on Dartmoor National Park, itñޙs the most beautiful place Iñޙve visited in ñ. Its forests look and feel like theyñޙre lost in time. Cornwall has many sandy beaches, picturesque cliffs, and perfect surfing spots.ñޝ
