This page will tell you everything you need to know about the module and award choices associated with the MSc Advanced Professional Practice programme and it's various pathways within the School of Health Professions.

All pathways of the programme offer three exit awards:

Postgraduate certificate

You can choose the award of postgraduate certificate at the end of stage one of any pathway of the programme as long as you have earned 60 credits, made up of one core module ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ applying evidence to practice ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ and two pathway specific or optional modules (depending on the pathway chosen). 

Postgraduate diploma

You can choose the award of postgraduate diploma at the end of stage two of any pathway of the programme as long as you have earned 120 credits. 40 credits of these will be made up from two core modules ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ applying evidence to practice and Project design for research. If the programme is being taken on a part time basis, applying evidence to practice must be taken in Year 1 and Project design for research must be taken prior to applying for the dissertation module.

Master of science (MSc) award 

To earn a full masters degree, you must earn 180 credits over three stages of the programme. The MSc Advanced Professional Practice Research Dissertation module is a core module for all pathways of the programme and worth 60 credits.
