Our PgDip Advanced Critical Care Practitioner programme has been specifically developed to enable you to become a competent Advanced Critical Care Practitioner over a two year full time programme.

Upon completion of your postgraduate diploma you have the option to continue your study part time to achieve your masters degree:

MSc Advanced Critical Care Practitioner

Our optional third year will equip you with advanced research skills and a deeper understanding of how to improve patient care and enable you to achieve your masters degree.

These programmes are not open to applicants who will require a Student Route (formerly Tier 4) visa to enter the UK.

What happens after I apply?
After your application is submitted, it will be processed and reviewed by the Programme Lead for a decision on your suitability to study this programme. You may be asked to take part in an interview. Please regularly check your Applicant Portal for notifications and updates on your application.

Please note that if accepted, you will be enrolled on the PgDip programme. You may choose to exit early with the qualification of PgCert upon completion of an appropriate 60 credits. More information is contained within the Programme Specification.
Fees and funding
Please note that the MSc Advanced Critical Care Practitioner and MSc Surgical Care Practitioner programmes are not eligible for postgraduate funding via the Student Loans Company (SLC).
The programmes are a top-up of 60 credits over and above the PgDip, which applicants are required to have undertaken prior to applying for the MSc.
Postgraduate loans are only available to those who will be undertaking a full 180 credits during the time they receive the loan.
Applicants to the MSc programme will have already completed 120 credits (PgDip ACCP) and therefore do not qualify for postgraduate loans.
