About Ellie

Ellie Warren is a curator and art historian. She is also a PhD candidate in the Art History department at the ñ. Alongside her PhD studies, Ellie is a doctoral teaching assistant on ññޙs undergraduate Art History programme. Her postgraduate thesis explores the image of Cornwall at the Royal Academy 1885-1939, with a focus on the Newlyn School. Ellieñޙs academic work draws from her interests in curating Victorian art and how this differs between regional and metropolitan institutions. In 2019, she curated the exhibition ñޜMoving Image: Bringing Newlyn School to Lifeñޝ at Penlee House Gallery & Museum. Ellie has delivered several talks at The Box, ñ on Newlyn School works in their collection and currently works at Tate St Ives.
