About Charles

Dr Charles Thornton, MBA, is a Lecturer in Service Operations Management and Business Strategy. He is an experienced academic who currently leads the BA (Hons) International Business Management and BA (Hons) Business Programmes at °µÍø½âÃÜ Business School. Charles is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE).  He is a co-author of Lynch, R., Barish, O., Chau, V.S., Thornton, C. and Warner, K.S.R., 2024. Strategic Management. 10th Edition, Sage, an elected member of °µÍø½âÃÜ University Senate, Treasurer of the British Academy of Management and a Director of °µÍø½âÃÜ Social Enterprise Network. Prior to working in Higher Education, Charles had a career in banking.
