Representatives from the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ have helped to launch Team ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ. The collaboration draws together key organisations across the city with the aim of ensuring residents of ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ and the wider South West region benefit from its new role as a National Defence Growth Area.
Earlier in September, ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ was one of five key national defence growth areas to be announced in the UK Defence Industrial Strategy.
Now the key players of what was Growth Alliance ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ have formally launched Team ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ and a plan to capitalise on unprecedented levels of investment and interest in the cityÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s role in defence.
The partners in Team ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ include the University, Babcock International Group, the Ministry of Defence, ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ City Council, and City College ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ.
They were among over 100 delegates ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ including ministers, regional MPs and top civil servants ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ who attended the event at the Market Hall in Devonport and heard about the ambitions of a programme that aims to build long-term capability and prosperity.
