New deep learning model is ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ˜game changerÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™ for measuring embryo development
The model performs a task that biologists have struggled with for centuries
Delineating developmental events ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ or working out what happens when in an animalÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s early development ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ is so challenging, but incredibly important as it helps us to understand changes in event timing between species and environments.
The only real limitations are in creating the data to train the deep learning model ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ we know it works, you just need to give it the right training data.

This research is important on a technological level, but it is also significant for advancing how we perceive organismal development ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ something that the ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, within the Ecophysiology and Development research Group, has more than 20 yearsÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™ history of researching.
