In conversation: geography 1983
A group of geography alumni from 1983 have recently returned for a reunion
AWhat prompted you to organise this reunion?
`What are your favourite memories of your time at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ?
]How did ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ prepare you for the career youÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™ve had since then?
For a retired geography academic like me, one of lifeÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s delights is occasionally bumping into a student from many years ago ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ always a pleasure but sadly quite a rare one. However, over the summer I met no less than twenty or so geography graduates from the distant past and we had a ball ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ it was truly memorable! If youÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™re planning a reunion, be sure to contact the UniversityÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s Alumni office and to make good use of their specialist expertise and support. They even provided our geographers with 'then and now' maps of the campus! In addition, donÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™t hesitate to include academics ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ“ five of ÂÌñ»»ÆÞÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s retired geography staff attended our recent reunions and the students were as delighted to see us as we were to meet them. LetÂÌñ»»ÆÞ™s encourage and support more student reunions!

'How did it feel to be back in ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ, and especially back on campus? Was much as you remembered it, or had it changed beyond recognition?
